A Truly Green Sustainable Holiday
Powered by wind, solar and homegrown firewood.
Treberfedd’s octagonal eco cabins offer a country retreat that is close to nature whilst having all the home comforts provided for. Wake up on your glamping holiday to watch the sun rising over the mountains, while the panoramic view opens out over the Aeron valley below. The Autumn mists filling the valley while the sun rises make Aerona a truly romantic glamping holiday destination.
Award winning interior designers Cream & Black designed the interior to Aerona. You will love the finishing touches and beautiful original detail as you sit back and enjoy the view from the large octagonal windows. Aerona really is like something out of Grand Designs or Amazing Spaces.
Aerona is perfect for a sustainable green holiday with luxury built in. Enjoy the Swedish Wood fired hot tub on starry nights.
The aim of the design was to blend the houses into the landscape, to make the most of the beautiful views from the interior, and to use natural materials, like our own organic meadow grass on the roof! Sheep’s wool insulates the walls and welsh timber clads the exterior. Much of the furniture and interior details have been upcycled to stylish effect.
The Eco Cabins are spacious inside, the octagonal shape flows and gives the interior a relaxing feel. There are two comfy chairs which sit either side of the log burner and TV to the side. Underfloor heating powered by the farm’s wind turbine and solar panels will keep you warm all year round.
On the opposite side of the room sits a large oak dining table with views across the valley. Adjacent to this is the open plan kitchen with stone worktop which is fully equipped for cooking up a lavish meal. A super king size bed faces the view down the valley and neat fold down bunk beds are available for children. The cloak room by the kitchen leads to a WC and shower room with rain head shower.
Sixteen scots pine trees, visible from the interior, hold up the roof. They are arranged to make an eight sided octagonal house. The octagon creates a circular feel to the space inside. The timber beams are visible from the inside complete with hand crafted oak pegs that hold the building together.
The design of the cabins is completely original. You won’t find another building like this anywhere else in the world! Both houses are dug into the hillside and have a warm blanket of turf on top. The house has grown up from the earth using mostly natural materials yet still offers luxury and comfort glamping.
